Shalini Ramesh

Shalini holds her Bachelor of Technology in Energy and Environmental Engineering, Masters and Doctorate in Agricultural Engineering with specialization in Bioenergy Engineering from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, India. She investigated on designing a low cost, lab-scale hydrothermal carbonization reactor and slow pyrolysis reactors for converting wet/dry agricultural renewable biomass residues into novel carbon-rich solid products called hydrochars and biochars, which are used for energy and environmental applications. A national awardee for MTech thesis under ‘Climate Change’ theme by ISTE, New Delhi and a DST-INSPIRE Fellow for her doctoral research funded by DST, Government of India, New Delhi. She visited more than 25 energy-related industries, organized 3 symposia, 5 training and internship programmes. She has 7+ years of academic and research experience in bio-energy research. She is an independent consultant and has expertise in bio-energy applications to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. She has good research papers in international and national level reputed journals, co-authored 2 textbooks and presented papers in conferences.
