Mohamed Amanullah
BSc (Agriculture); MSc (Agronomy); PhD.
Amanullah is a retired Professor of Agronomy. He had graduated and obtained his PhD in Agronomy with specialization in farming systems. He involved in farm management and teaching for around thirteen years at Veterinary College and Research Institute, Tamil Nadu, India where he was associated with fodder crops and poultry manure management. Later, at the Department of Agronomy, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore shone in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students for 16 more years. He had conducted 10 training programmes on various aspects of farming as Coordinator of Centre of Advanced Faculty Training in Agronomy. He guided eight M.Sc. (Ag) students and 5 Ph.D. students and one PDF student and one Ph.D., student completed his research on biochar and its application on soil properties and yield of cotton. He has associated with maize crop since post-graduation and his research interest ranges from nutrient management to farming systems including hydroponic maize fodder production. He published ten books with ISBN, and credited with more than 200 research articles both in international and national journals. He is a recipient of Scientist Award from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and Excellence in Teaching Award from Astha Foundation, Meerut and Outstanding Achievement Award for Outstanding Contribution in Agronomy by Genesis Urban and Rural Development Society, Hyderabad. Currently, he is serving as Editorial Member in Legume Research, an International Journal, Agricultural Reviews, and International Journal of Agricultural Sciences.
